Longer version of this mornings post.

Yard has been spring-erized; mulching was done and I also got the kitchen cleaned, made cupcakes and while I did not make ANY icons yesterday, I did play some Fire Emblem Warriors and I also got my dragoon character to 50 (and oh does he look smart). I did some edits on the Klaus icon I did for [community profile] icons10in20, so the one I am using isn't the exact copy. Also, I made this Kimber icon-- Yeah, she was my favorite jem character (along with Pizazz.) so I'm totally happy with how it came out. Like I love how vibrant it was-- that was such a great cartoon.

Brings me back to the days when I would pretend I was an idol singer, my imaginary musician boyfriend was Simon Le Bon and I would lock myself up in my room and sing whatever came on the radio.

Ah, childhood!

Also, I laugh at the thought that I even thought I was an introvert-- like really? What introvert pretends they are on a stage surrounded by thousands? a proper introvert would imagine themselves on an empty island filled with delicious food, thousands of books/media and a people count of ONE (themselves).

So everyone, what did you want to be when you grew up before adulting got in the way?

mine was a tie between mermaid and idol singer.

Well first of all, yesterday was my year anniversary with my husband; it's hard to believe that I've been married to him for a year. Easily the best decision of my life and married to someone who 'gets' me. (well okay, he may not get me-- but he definitely makes a good showing of at least attempting to understand the person that is me.) So we went to see Captain Marvel however due to a major thunderstorm, we didn't see the last HOUR of the movie. We are pondering if we want to go and sit through the entire movie again to find out what happened. Then we went to The Cheesecake Factory and then came back home to watch The Umbrella Academy

Let me tell you, IN. FUCKING. LOVE~

If anyone is curious about the contents of my mind, think of an episode of the Umbrella Factory, with Klaus Hargreeves as the Mascot.

(yes, I know-- everyone loves Klaus; as well they should, he's just amazing.)

Also, right now on [community profile] lands_of_magic is the CHARACTER MANIFESTO challenge, and I am working on Schwann/Raven from Tales of Vesperia-- as I am PRETTY sure that I have enough fodder for him, certainly more than enough to turn up something interesting-- right now I am working on the fanmix, which will be 20 pts. Then I can do a few other things, really I got this totally under control!

How has everyone's weekend been? Hopefully it's been awesome~! <3

Today I am going to go on a different less serious tangent, so today I am going to focus on "Favorite Female Characters from RPGs".

As y'all know, I am very much in love with the RPG genre, and I've been in love with it since the beginning of time it seems-- and I've already enumerated by top favorite men in the RPG genre, so now it's time for me to give the ladies their due desserts as well. There are also a really awesome strong minded ladies in that series, not just love interests and not just kidnap fodder (No, I am not referencing Rosa-- on my 3rd playthrough of FFIV is when I finally started to appreciate the white mage, and I think she is a wonderful example of a supportive nurturing healer who also happens to be the love interest of the main character, and yes-- she was kidnapped many times, but hey-- Kain was too so we can't be calling names here)

IN ORDER OF LEAST TO MOST )

To be perfectly honest, I'd like to pair up the characters in Tales of Beseria-- I've seen fanart on PIXIV and gone, "Oh yeah, I can get behind that", but for one fact-- there's really no lover-type dynamic amongst the group-- they are all pretty ambivalent to each other and you can tell that any friendship that they have for each other is tenuous at best. Eizen and Rokurou would look hot but there is something only bro about them-- and it only surfaces when they are saying that women are inherently evil; and I would like to pair someone with Magilou but omg, no one likes her.

In most series, I can find at least ONE golden egg; in Zestiria-- I liked Rose/Dezel and Sorey/Mikleo, in Yuri on Ice, Viktor/Yuri smacked me with a fish. But Beseria is that one freak series where I cannot for the life of me see any pairings, not that it frustrates me, just-- while I love the characters, there is no me wishing for a grand romance. I guess it is just one of those things that goes down as being refreshing/frustrating all in one go.

What can I say-- I guess I just am a shipper at heart.

But hey on unrelated note-- Bayley broke Charlotte Flair's Pay Per View streak, of course it was only because of Sasha Banks (which means tonight, Charlotte is gonna cry cheater at Bayley) but oh well-- Wrestlemania, here we come.

Last night I was pretty much glued to my VITA, playing FFIV complete collection. Cecil becomes a Paladin! Check! He gains mass ammounts of levels before heading to Baron! OKAY~! He kicks the ass of Baignan and Cagnazzo! HURRAH!

NOW WE HAVE AN AIRSHIP.

Sure we're supposed to go to Troia but~

ALL THE THINGS, ALL OF THEM.

We visit shiny Agart full of promise, we spend ass amounts of time gaining levels so that we can afford all the nifty new gear that Mythril offers. And then we go into Eblan to poke around, because look EDGE'S MYSTERIOUS DESERTED CASTLE. We don't know the guy yet so why don't we loot it.

Loot loot loot!

Let's open this box!

MONSTER!

MONSTER. KICKS. MY. ASS

Rocks fall; everybody dies.

RESTART. Aw damn, I hadn't saved until just before Baignan.

And then I realized that this happened MY VERY FIRST PLAYTHROUGH way back when I was a teenager and didn't know any better.

Obviously I STILL DON'T! It was lowering to think that TWENTY YEARS-- and STILL COMMITTED THE SAME EPIC FAIL.

Now I have something new to add to my list of things to go back and tell my younger self if ever I'm given a time machine...

DO NOT OPEN THAT. DAMN. BOX
