Longer version of this mornings post.

Yard has been spring-erized; mulching was done and I also got the kitchen cleaned, made cupcakes and while I did not make ANY icons yesterday, I did play some Fire Emblem Warriors and I also got my dragoon character to 50 (and oh does he look smart). I did some edits on the Klaus icon I did for icons10in20, so the one I am using isn't the exact copy. Also, I made this Kimber icon-- Yeah, she was my favorite jem character (along with Pizazz.) so I'm totally happy with how it came out. Like I love how vibrant it was-- that was such a great cartoon.

Brings me back to the days when I would pretend I was an idol singer, my imaginary musician boyfriend was Simon Le Bon and I would lock myself up in my room and sing whatever came on the radio.

Ah, childhood!

Also, I laugh at the thought that I even thought I was an introvert-- like really? What introvert pretends they are on a stage surrounded by thousands? a proper introvert would imagine themselves on an empty island filled with delicious food, thousands of books/media and a people count of ONE (themselves).

So everyone, what did you want to be when you grew up before adulting got in the way?

mine was a tie between mermaid and idol singer.

I wanted to be an artist. So I sorta-kinda succeeded? I was picturing paintings in galleries, but fabric arts will do. :3

I wanted to be a beautiful white rabbit with pink ears. People asked me 'what do you want to be when you grow up?', so I naturally assumed that growing up could transform you into anything.

i wanted to be a ballet dancer when i was younger. i think introverts can definitely have dreams of stardom since that's all apart of having a big imagination in general. speaking as an introvert, i spend so much time alone that sometimes my fantasies end up involving other people just so i can think about something different! :o

Yeah, I suppose imaginary people are easier to deal with then real thronging crowds, also-- you are removed from the crowds when you are on the stage-- thank you for that perspective change, I really appreciate it!

Haha, I wasn't a very proper introvert myself then either--as I usually always imagined myself belonging to a group of people I could consider a team or friends when I was little. :D As for what I wanted to be when I grew up...I think it was something utterly bizarre like a mermaid assassin? (A mermaid who assassinated people, lol. XD) I blame that completely on loving The Little Mermaid and reading a certain Psylocke story arc in an X-Men comic book. XD

Your Kimber icon is awesome! I loved that cartoon too. ♥

Ah, mulching. I know I will have to be ready to do that soon too. :)

Probably because you'd make a great vet and journalist, you should tye it together and do the "Journalism from a Veternarian clinic" and take pictures of awesome animals that survived the odds!"

No, honestly, at some point my parents told me "you would also need to touch other animals, not just cats and dogs!" And I shortcircuited and forgot all about it hahaha.

I wanted to be a philosopher, I think before I fully realized what a philosopher even did. But the idea of sitting around and deeply thinking about stuff was very appealing.

I just posting on a blog instead of decamping solely to tweets is one remnant of that early desire.
