I have this unspoken rule that if I don't know the fandom-- I can't use the icon; even if I made it for someone.

THIS icon right here made me go and find myself a game in the Ys series-- Memories of Celceta (Thank you so much batman for inspiring me to pick up the game). So far I like, I forgot how to play Action RPGs but it's refreshing! I sucked at the first boss-- but I'm hoping with time I'll get better!

I honestly think that this is the best icon I've ever made, it just is perfect in so many ways-- I stare at it in awe and I don't even know how it happened-- I am thinking that I might not of been in my right mind because it's hard to think something like that could come out of me. Seriously, I can't even.

Also, thank you all for the kind words you've spoken to me; with my work situation or with icons-- I appreciate all those words. I don't participate in a lot of fandoms and my DW is pretty much a way for me to take all the stress I am feeling and get it out in the open (and harness some creativity), and comments are not required but they are very much appreciated! Y'all rock!

I haven't yet quite gotten the hang of the whole icon business (and my brain is too tired to actually put thought into it), so I'm basically going with this one as my default and... am not changing it up #oops

And I'm sure you'll get the hang of the game quickly! *hasn't played herself in ages*

Love the icon (and I love Ys, so that icon is super win for me!)! You did a great job with it! ♥ The Ys games always take a little bit of an adjustment period, but once you get the hang of it (and you will!), they become so much fun to play. I love the challenge in them! XD

~Haha, I...kind of never know what I'm doing with icons. I'll play around with different things and all of a sudden I'll get something I love and then never remember how I got there. O_O;

That is exactly what happens to me with icons-- most of the time I don't know what I am doing when I start an icon-- it's just a touch and feel thing-- and then if I don't like a step, I either have to erase that step or figure out how to salvage it.

I am really enjoying the Ys series, and I personally think that so far Memories of Celceta is the best one out of the first four. It's a great way to meet the world and Adol!

Ys is one of those series I keep wanting to get into but haven't started up. Is Memories of Celceta a good starting point plot-wise, or is it better to start elsewhere? I know a friend just recently started with Ys I + II and then Origin.

Actually it is a good starting point, since it takes place at the start of the main characters adventure-- so you get to see the main protagonist when he was a beginning adventurer-- and I've been enjoying it too!
