I have to be out of the door in around 15 minutes due to the fact that I have to get gas and I also have to get some coffee and something to snack on.

I went to bed super early last night due to.. *drumroll* migraine. I did get a few icons done (2 more for update= bringing the total up to 5-- five more to go!) and I also watched 2 episodes of Ancient Magus Bride and 1 episode of Phoenix Wright (that was brought on by a subscriber to hiraethe wanting more Phoenix Wright icons, and then I did 2 icons last night and I was already on that special roll, so I thought-- "why not get in the mood by watching some" as I have fond FOND memories of playing that game (Oh Edgeworth, my love!)

I also was trying to obtain Patty's "Gald Hunter" title last night-- the walkthrough I am following said it was "NOT MISSABLE"; despite the fact that I was a few plot points after where the FAQ told me to get it (late to the party). Someone else was like "Well maybe you are in a no-sidequest zone?" except I am not, I am wrapping up a shit ton of sidequests before I go to Myorza-- so idk, I don't want to miss something so totally Patty, I mean it's PATTY!

To everyone; I realize that I talk about icons a lot and my apologies, it is the one part of fandom that I actively take part in. Some people write fic, some people make fanmixes (and if you make fanmixes, please link me-- because I LOVE THEM!), but I make icons-- it is how I show my love for a particular series, character or pairing! For all you who have previous-to tolerated this, I love y'all-- you know this!

Also tbh, the icon-making business is one i'm particularly impressed by--not only do you al make edits, you do them on such tiny canvases I can onlya dmire the skill it must take xD

The tiny canvases are the best..and I guess it's also trying to make an icon seamless.. looking as if that picture was made for that background which is also fun

Ah, that is totally a-okay with the icon talk! I write fics myself for my fave fandom, and Breyzy also enjoys making icons for series she likes--so we both definitely get it! ♥ Show your love however you desire! ♥

no don't apologize for talking about making icons! you make lovely ones and it's your contribution to fandom. i wouldn't expect people to stop talking about their fic so you should be allowed to talk about your icons as much as you'd like :)

Ahhh the Ace Attorney anime. I keep forgetting that was a thing.

Ten years ago I was obsessed with everything in that fandom. I think I made well over a thousand icons at one point for it and wrote out every little thought that passed through my mind.

Yet I somehow keep sleeping on this anime lmao.

There's nothing wrong with icon making at any rate. It's a part of fandom that's important to the journaling community. Icons add a bit of flavor to our replies and posts so naturally they're important. You do you.

I think there is something a little more charming about the game? I mean I love the characters bit I have memories.. all the memories of the game and the prosecutor gesticulating and all that, and the characters growing on you. The anime is alright but I can see what it is trying to do.. and it's doing it without that level of nostalgia.

It's a great way to get new people into the series tho!

I would love to see some of your PW icons tho... who were your fave characters?

I sadly nuked most of my icon journals due to the old Photobucket owners. Whenever they took over and were getting ad revenue off of icon posts, I decided I couldn't support it and mass deleted everything. I have a bit of regret over that now since they've since then traded hands in ownership once more but... (≖ᴗ≖✿)

I did find an old post on LiveJournal that had some though here so... LOL. This style of icon was everywhere.

My favorite character is Franziska. In fact, one of my old handles "Mei" is from the Ace Attorney phase as that's her name in the Japanese version of the game.

I'm sad to hear that about the anime, but I knew it couldn't that great since the boy never dragged me into it LOL.

Somehow I just knew that your favorite character would be Fran, I don't know-- I think that resonated with me quite a bit like-- YUP! I just absolutely knew it and I don't even know why I bothered asking that question in the first place-- maybe it was because I thought that maybe the answer would surprise me or be something other than what I would of expected.

And oh I remember those icons, Those WERE really popular going around-- and definitely took quite a bit of time and energy to create-- oh photobucket, you had been SO GOOD!

Knock on wood, but hopefully imagur doesn't fall down the same route.

It was a lot of hard work to get them under the 40kbs limit of icons back in the day. Had to use a simple background, that kind of border, and basically slap a layer over them all to color them so that it didn't raise the file quality too high.

That's why a lot of them were similar in style haha.

I hear Imgur is doing some things to kind of tank albums and icon makers in general. They want to be a "social media" site with media, but... unlike Instagram? I don't really know what they are thinking other than they want to go hand-in-hand with Reddit.

LOL yeah... I'm fairly obvious. I like a lot of other characters from the series, but there's something about a teal haired woman wielding a whip that just stands above the rest.

I know Imagur has an upload limit, 30 images an hour-- so in that way they are sorta kneecapping the people who want to post ALL the icons, like 30+. I am sure it's coming and then I am just going to say "screw icons!" and throw my hands up. I wish that image hosting wouldn't be such butts

Fran suits you though, because I think that personality wise-- from what I imagine you to be and especially with how you talk, in that super concise way, you do remind me of Fran.

You can always post about icons! I make them too, but it's been a long time. Most of my iconmaking now is personal use for RP and that's where all my energy goes, but as an RPer, I LOVE ICONS and share your enthusiasm! Icons are my favorite part of journaling. THANK YOU for contributing icons to the community!
