No spoilers but the last patch Prelude in Violet is where things are getting sooo good and I don't think I've mentioned how excited I am with the direction the game is heading, I ate that last cutscene up AND I have a new favorite villian. (icon incomming, I even have a song picked out and everything). The villian of the last expansion was small beef, this is where we graduate to the big leagues (though to be fair, Stormblood's villian was pretty much OG, not gonna lie.)

I love evil empires-- even though I RP a character who is very anti-garlean empire but I secretly do love the evil empire and OH PLEASE MAKE GARLEAN A PLAYABLE RACE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE.

I am totes excited.

In work related note, I am on my last week. I was sad last week, this week I am not. It's like, I am seeing the cracks and the wear and I am thinking that I am moving on to a better place. Of course this isn't stopping people from creating drama, but I realize that I am three days out and I don't have to acknowledge it, but it's going to be so nice to get out of this lair of toxicity. Just deep breaths until end of day on friday, that's all it's gonna take.

Stormblood had been very hit and miss for me as an expansion UNTIL 4.4. I was really digging this patch. Well, I think I just liked certain things about Heavensward more; the locations and Warring Triad, for starters. Although Omega was a far more enjoyable raid than Alexander, I thought. But I am so ready for the next expansion.

I would love it if they added Garleans as a playable race, in addition to the Viera that everyone keeps talking about. Although I could see some complaining that Garleans are too close to Hyurs in appearance, only really having that third eye difference. But they seem to use Elezen bodies and Hyur heads? Regardless, I think it would be cool to have!

At the very least I think I would settle for a third eye option for Hyurs, but yes-- the Garleans are almost Elezen in appearance if you look at them. They are very tall and long limbed.

I am so glad that you are enjoying FFXIV so much ATM! :D I so want to try the game out at some point, though time constraints make it seem like it might still be awhile yet before that happens. :) Awesome villains and evil empires are great for fantasy tales though, truly! :D
