Well house update--

We submitted an offer, and it was accepted! So that lovely house is gonna be ours!

This month me and Owen play at being adults, this will be interesting (Who am I kidding, I will be playing at being an adult-- Owen is a capricorn and thereby born old)

I NEED TO NAME THIS HOUSE--

I also have to do a wiccan cleansing so I'll probably go to one of the pagan stores in Louisville and buy stuff to do that. If anyone is pagan and has a cleansing spell, send it my way!

as far as a cleansing goes, as long as you've got the intent, it'll go over fine. i don't recommend sage, though, and would suggest dragon's blood instead. it's easy to get!

Yeah, I had thought sage but thank you for the dragon's blood recommendation. I mean it isn't a new house-- the first house I had bought in my early twenties didn't precisely need cleansing, but I want to make this house a nice blank slate and I have no clue what has been there before it was refurbished-- I know my ex-girlfriend cleansed some of the houses we had lived in and it seemed to work fairly well, and they had been old houses.

sage is dying off and becoming more difficult to get, so i really don't recommend it. dragon's blood smells nice and is very easy to get, and you can use it the same way! the next full moon is on the ninth, so if you'd like to charge anything your using by moonlight, i'd recommend a full moon to do it with.

if you feel like it would be more your space by cleansing it, i do recommend doing that. making it your own just helps make it feel more like home.

Congratulations on your new house. I second nefast in terms of approaching it with the right mindset and intent. I also find playing a wee bit of spiritual music helps put me in the right frame of mind, with calming bells and the sort. Last time, I played some music I found on YouTube with my laptop as I went about my house. XD
