Soylent Icons is now up.. wow Dreamwidth, thanks for the handy dandy importing tool. Now to sort of format it so that the links cross post to DW. (thank you also atma for telling me that it was possible!)

The import tool is amazing, although it made things a bit insane when people were first moving over. They actually had to queue up RP comms and give Camp Fuck You Die TWO WHOLE DAYS for their stuff alone. It was impressive.

Wow, Camp Fuck You Die took two days? Well that's just not surprising at all. That place was massive massive massive! Just wow, I wish I could of been there for that, but yeah.. import tool = brilliant. I was quite happy with the fact that all the icons came over smoothly. The links on the profile still sort of point toward their lj equivalent but I'm correcting that now.

At least two whole days, for sure! My memory's hazy now since it happened a few years ago at this point, but I definitely remember lots of announcements on DW itself and all the RP hangouts. It barely takes any time now, but back then you could expect a few hours to pass before all your stuff came over. I saw all the notices just in time and manage to get my own comms in before the worst of it started, but it took about a week total. I'm glad it still works as well as it did then.

I think that's super fast, considering it's an icon comm! I wish more people would bring theirs over. Sometimes I try hunting for rarer things and can only find ones where photobucket's expired because it'd been so long since they checked on their things. It's so depressing.

DW is a surprisingly flexible site once you find out where all the little tools are hidden away. It's pretty easy to see why most of us came here when LJ did its design switch fiasco a year ago.
