A year does not go by without Fandom_Secrets deciding to do some Snape Bashing-- except this time it was a secret where 'defense of snape' occurs, and then all the Snape Haters come in going "YOU ARE SO WRONG OMG!!!????"--

He wasn't the greatest person on the planet but I don't think he was total and utter shit. People need to grow the fuck up.

It blows my mind that people still feel so strongly about Snape (and how other people feel about Snape) many years later, haha.

I guess the divisiveness about his character shows he's at least decently written?

Snape is both a godawful person and my favorite character. It is possible for people who say/do rotten things to be good characters. There's a reason these are called characters, not people. You have much more control over how fictional characters affect you than how people do. I see this as a failure to separate fiction from reality personally.
