My roommate came in while I was watching Wrestling and he was like "Hey, you know that's fake-- right?" and I was like "Ummm, if it was fake-- Daniel Bryan still would be doing what he loves to do-- i.e wrestle." then he went into his room, shut the door and NOT TWO MINUTES LATER, he posted up a big diatribe about how wrestling was the fakest of fake and that anyone who watched it was idiots.

Now I can see where at times it came be fake-- I can see where they don't really punch or when they sort of move along with the rolls-- that is STILL a sport, it's acrobatics, clever ones-- all designed to tell a story. Then there are the times when I can tell that it really does hurt and that no ammount of tucking and rolling can change the impact, those are the times when I know that you can take precautions, but you can also get seriously injured despite those precautions.

I just want to go 'bitch, please!'. I just take it into account that Randy (aka MR. Negative) has such a whambulance life that he has to attempt to ruin the fun of everyone else just so that he feels better about holing himself up in his room and playing 12 straight hours of WoW, which clearly makes him better then EVERYBODY ELSE.

It's no worries-- I think with him, that's only the tip of the iceberg, I am frustrated with him for other things too but when he makes stupid comments like that, it's just the straw that breaks the camels back.

Well I think it is because he thinks that his interests are the only ones in the world. I can see how one wouldn't be interested in something; I mean my boyfriend is into Power Rangers, I am not-- I think it's corny but you know what-- it's what he likes and I support his right to like it and I won't say it's stupid or he is any less of a person for thinking that it is entertaining.

Pro Wrestling is basically stage-fighting done by very athletic, well-trained actors. There's a lot of training and talent involved and even if it's relatively scripted, it's still amazing to watch. And there is nothing wrong with watching talented people tell a very physical story.

See I love watching the artistry of it-- and I think that people can get hurt doing it, but I can definitely see what punches are pulled and what actually hit or connect (It's more of a misstep on the part of the orchestrated fight), I think it's quite amazing and the people who wrestle really have to be in peak performance!

Some people just have to try to pee on everyone's parade. People claim it's fake, but I really don't care either way. As long as people are having fun watching it, that's what matters.

I don't understand where people get off on trying to police the enjoyment/entertainment of others. Focus on yourself.
