Actually, who am I kidding?
Still work-- except I am now unsupervised; 'Paris' is on vacation starting today which leaves me to man the battleship however I will be able to do it, I have a battle plan to save my sanity. Or at least my sanity with how I percieve it. But I really don't want to talk about work, I've done and made pre-bills. So why not talk about iconning!
I have this folder on Pinterest called "To be Iconned" and I go through and save stuff there, it's especially effective when I am browsing pinterest at work on my phone, I can save it there and then when I get to my home computer (which let's be honest, usually gathers dust), I can just save the picture and work with it in my paint program. I am currently looking at old retro pictures of "Rose of Versailles" and knowing that I want to use that as a basis for the icons that I make for![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
icontalking. I already made two icons last night, one not as retro-looking, the other I am actually quite happy with. When I think retro, I think bright vibrant colours that just sort of pop much like those old technicolour pictures back in the 70s.
And I love Rose of Versailles, and I sort of want to go back to watch the series-- goodness knows I want to read the manga-- such great stuff right there. o.O; There was a time when I really did eat up the retro manga due to this podcast that I listened to called "Anime World Order", I ate up things like Rose of Versailles, Blackjack and From Eroica with Love. Oh yes, and I did have a volume of Swan but was disappointed when I couldn't find any more volumes.
