And THIS is why I rather have/play original characters than the canon logical characters. This way I can adjust the way a character is played, or how I play said character, to fit into the canon.
Unfortunately, with that I always get is a l o t of replies* like "EW, an OC!", or "You know, I don't think I want to play with your character...Sorry!", or they don't reply to me at ALL.
*---Which of course makes my anxiety go apepoop crazy because I'm always wondering "Did I do something wrong?", "Is my history of the character not good enough (read: I *ALWAYS* try to research and try to make sure that the character is not too Mary Sue-ish and go from there)?", or my personal hated one: "Am I just not good enough for you to play with my character? Are you just humoring me? WHAT DID I DO WRONG?!!" (and TBH, I almost teared up writing that part.) .
