One helpful thing I've heard in podcasts and blogs is to focus on another thing. So if you can't icon, is there another creative thing you might be more inclined to do?

I remember one point where I had a huge meta boost, but not so much on fic. Or big on fanmixes or graphics, but not on something else. Letting your inspiration recharge can be vital to not feeling so blocked.
