I made a few new icons, including this Edea one which I'm currently grooving on. I adore Edea and I seriously wish there was a Ringabel RPer on bakerstreet which I could do shippy-type stuffs with. I also did a Peony icon which I am very happy with as well. Yay for iconing (it's so rare when I don't think my work kinda bites. I am harsh harsh harsh on myself but I'm willing to give myself credit on when I absolutely do get it right.)

There was a post on fandom-secrets about old school fandoms such as Saiyuki and Gravitation. Granted I was never much one for Gravitation. But let me tell you, I could rock out some Saiyuki. I feel horribly old now. I'm not too old but I am getting up there toward middle age. (within the next five years? ack) Luckily people have told me that I don't look a day over 25 so I can't complain.

Back to more Tales of Xillia 2.

Oh, you like Ringabel/Edea too? (Although I think most people who've played Bravely Default do.) Ringabel's story makes me sad :(

Yes I did. I always think that Edea turned Ringabel down after the whole Alternis thing was because while she's impulsive and daring, I think that she's more cautious when it comes to her own heart and she needed to have time to get to know Ringabel once again. And yes, his story was very sad.. and I think that Bravely Default was one of the better games to come out by Square Enix. It was very much a CLASSIC stylized game, reminded me muchly of the storylines of older titles.

OHMY THIS IS SO ME TOO. Every single icon or graphic work I've made (even doodles and fics for that matter) I've always been so hard on myself and sometimes even ragequitting it :/ It's a very hard habit to break..I hate to say

Yeah! I'm the same with fics AS WELL. I write and while people go "oh it's awesome!"; I don't see it, because I see all the ittsy bitty little flaws, or perhaps I think the shading is wrong. In my mind I can always do 1000 times better!

But I see awesome things from other people, and I don't see those flaws, I think it has something to do with the creation process.. I really do.

Edeaaa! Favourite Bravely Default character by far for me ♥

Gaius is so great in ToX2, I didn't really care for him much in the first game but his interactions with the rest of the cast are gold in the sequel.

I think Edea is the fan favorite, I know that I loved her when I first met her and Gaius; oh god, he says so many awesome things in Tales of Xillia 2 that I just can't help but fangirl him. Like how he put Leia's mom on a list of people he never wants to fight and she's the only one on that list. HILARIOUS

Haha, talking about old school fandoms can have that effect on me too. I never really was one much for Gravitation either (it's one of those series I think a lot of people started out with, and then kind of just moved on to other things later on from), but gah...I STILL love Saiyuki (all of Kazuya Minekura's works, really--she's one of my favorite manga-ka and I am still hoping we'll get a Wild Adapter anime adaptation or something one of these days! ♥). :D

They do! And I really love Saiyuki and I'd love to icon it more.. but I just remember doing so many Saiyuki icons and there's this grungy sort of veneer to the art that makes it hard for me to icon it. Perhaps one day I'll kick out a few Saiyuki icons. (And a Wild Adapter anime adaptaion would be awesome. I know they did the Bus Gamer which I watched a little bit of (because of ex-girlfriend)
