Hello everyone!

Ascian-trash reporting for duty! I still exist. It's been a rough couple of months and only because I've been properly mourning Emet-Selch and thus does the ADHD come in and voila, hyperfixation. It's been eat, sleep, breathe Emet-Selch-- I've actually hit on some REALLY good RPers and I've created a lot of really fun stories and gotten to know my Emet-Selch muse. He is a monster, I haven't had a muse hit me THIS hard (dare I say he is bigger than Citan Uzuki-- I am afraid to say this, but it's the truth).

In non-FFXIV related news-- for my 40th birthday, my husband and I went to California. It was fun but it was also bittersweet as I had to deal with problematic family issues and the fact that my grandmother STILL does not have a headstone. This is of course typical of my family, no surprise. Also dealing with the constant jealousy and vitriol from my Aunt Cathy was also pretty damn amusing. But for all of that, there was an overwhelming surge of nostalgia of being back 'home'. Like I hadn't been back there in 16 years but it still felt like only yesterday that I was a teenager and wandering those streets, and of course it was just as much fun showing where I grew up to my husband.

And Disneyland was ALOT of fun, and I bought the Enchanted Tiki Room Dress, I bought Haunted Mansion Minnie Ears, I had DOLE WHIPS and BENGAL BARBEQUE and ate TONS (more than I should've, probably). Vacation was nice though and it was a nice little respite from real life.

So how has everyone else been?

That is awesome that you have had fun coming up with stories and getting to know your Emet-Selch muse though! ♥

I am sorry about the problematic familial issues and having to deal with the fact that your grandmother still doesn't have a headstone. But I am glad that there was an overwhelming surge of nostalgia and that you had fun showing where you grew up to your husband. :D I hope that overall your birthday was a pleasant one! ♥

Woot for Disneyland too! I am glad that the vacation was nice overall. ♥

Wow, it's like everyone I knew was in Disney this month! I had two friends go to world, now I find out you were in land..! Haa. Did you get to check out the new Star Wars stuff? Is there even Star Wars stuff in Disneyland?

It sucks it had a cloud of negativity over it, but sounds like you were able to enjoy yourself regardless.

I have to see what those Haunted Mansion ears look like..!

Emet-Selch is a good..!! I've been more focused on buying fan merch of him myself because there's been a lot of good stuff out there, but I'm so glad you're able to write with him! My work took too much out of me to really sit down and do much writing so wehhh I settle for retail therapy LOL

Oh my gosh, well Star Wars Land was so good, and immersive. Like there were sounds overhead that made it sound like ships were docking. Of course in the Millenium Falcon ride, I was a pilot and I was the WORST PILOT EVER (tm)

Also, where you are getting your Emet merch?

I have one single shirt that says "Emet-Selch did Nothing Wrong". (treasured of course), I am thinking about going onto redbubble and seeing of they've released anything else. I really need more Emet-Selch stuff. I keep seeing etsy stuff but when I finally get to Etsy stuff, they sold out. -_-

AWW I'm glad you got to see it though!!! That sounds so cool. I think I would also be a terrible pilot since I'd be too busy looking around.

I keep a list of things here! I also keep track of things I've seen that are WIP on Twitter so I know to check back. Tabita has a lanyard that is a WIP and she's thinking of doing a plushie too, in addition to the charms she has. (Plus she draws a lot of good Emet art.)

Merch of him has been selling out SUPER QUICK... I've almost missed a few pre-orders myself because of it... I had some friends help me out though. If you see something, it's almost worth going for right away because yeaaaaah...

I stalk a lot of it on Twitter. I can try messaging you every time I see something new coming up on Discord, if that wouldn't be too annoying.

It really is. I have that one with me physically if you want better pictures for size comparison. I had to use a proxy for it (treasure-japan), but it was worth it. Also, I didn't really link it on the listo but that shop has a few more Bureau pieces like a tote bag.

AND HE IS QUITE THE ADDICTION... /)_(\ I'm not even trying to hide it any more lol... I'm a step away from getting art commissioned. Just I don't have the perfect WoL in mind for him so that will wait. Everything else though... mmm yes.

YOU ARE NOT LYING! The fun part of RPing him has been figuring out his motivations and really just getting inside of his head. Such a great character and I swear that when I finished MSQ, I went straight into mourning

Life has been an absolute NIGHTMARE the past two days.

Why, you may ask? Because adulting sucks, that's why...

THIS is what my mom has been dealing with for a while now and she JUST came home this morning from surgery (it was yesterday).

Meanwhile, guess who's been in charge of the house and a *VERY* reluctant ahemhemhem something year old grandmother....?.

Yup. ME.

Don't get me wrong, I've treated her like an equal, I've tried biting my tongue about certain things, etc., but she just has that.....*WAY* about her.

For example:
Me: Grandma*, what can I fix you for breakfast/lunch/dinner?
Her: Oh, I dunno...what do we have?
Me: *lists off everything in the house and then some*
Her: Weelll (yes, she says it like this), I don't know. What do you want to eat/are you gonna have?
Me: I haven't a clue yet, but what is it that you *really* want?
Her: Welllll.....let me think... *thinks and does something else to distract herself and/or falls asleep and denies she was asleep when you wake her back up*
Me: Uh....Grandma?
Her: Hmmm?
Me: Breakfast/lunch/Dinner....?
Her: Oh, oh, right. Let's see...what do we have again?


*---Now, I know what you're thinking...."she's just easily distracted", which I know that, but every time mom goes out to run an errand or mom wants to know what she wants for a meal, my grandmother pulls this on her too.


I swear to GLOB I need a drink.....and I don't drink alcohol....

(I mean, you already are, but XD) I'm dying more for 5.1 because it'll have ISHGARD and and and as far as I'm concerned in XIV home is forever Ishgard - I started playing machinist only in ShB because of the massive changes to it, and every time I pop back to Ishgard for a quest, I drop by Fortemps to say hello.
