Wow, the icon I made last night (as stress relief) was the first one to come up on the list-- and it's simple, but it's Aerith-- so come on, it has to be some sort of simple, no red light (which is my honest to god icon signature, it's hard to get rid of that little red flare)-- just Aerith in all her holy glory and with the song of inspiration being "The Old Ways" by Loreena McKennit-- because she dies, and that is a quintessential "too good for this world' song (and let's face it, music inspires me so much that I have to make my keywords as lyrics from songs that just fit)

*come on you guys, FFVII has been out for like years, half as long as I am-- spoiler warnings should be moot for that game, everyone knows she dies and I think the status of limitation has worn out on any type of spoilery-warning. It's similar to Xenogears and the whole 'eating people' thing. it is like they created the Solarians and thought-- how can we make these people in the sky 'not' like the Zealians from Chrono Trigger-- I know-- MECHA-- AND WAIT, HOW ABOUT SOYLENT GREEN!

I agree with you so much on spoilers: after a certain point of time, I think spoiler warnings about certain plot events become moot. We usually only ever warn of spoilers when talking about something on our journal if it is a much more recent title and we know a lot of our friends are probably going to be looking into it--otherwise, we tend to not even warn about them anymore.

More people should play Xenogears, it is an amazing game! :D

The Soylent System is what cemented to me how much of a total asshole Citan is. Like, he lets Fei and Elly chow down on soylent even though he knows what it is, and then just lets them walk through a couple rooms, and then reminds them that they ate the food before showing them what it's made of.

Like:

"To end a person's life, and then consume their flesh. Is that, permissible...?"

No Citan, it is not. Why are you even asking that question?

Yeah, the FFVII Aerith's Death thing is very commonly known. I played it back in the early days of its UK release, before the internet was what it is now, so stuff like that was a genuine shock. Nowadays, stuff like that is everywhere and even folk that aren't that into FFVII or even played it know she dies.
