The first time I wrote Cecil (for fic, not for RP - that came later) - I
actually went to dig up the scripts for all three versions and promptly got
a headache. XD The Mysidian Legend is different, yes, but so are the way
the characters are portrayed - it took a somewhat insane blend of all three
versions and Dissidia 012 Cecil for me to settle on a version I liked!
I got confused by the PSP version as well - I'm familiar with the SNES
version, and then when I replayed the Complete Collection I had the exact
same reaction you did.
