sunkelles asked me to list my favorite Duran Duran songs in a comment, and I decided that I'd share this with everyone. (if everyone doesn't have their favorite iconic 80s band, I thoroughly suggest you get one-- for carisma_sensei it is Tears for Fears-- for me, it's Duran Duran (further proof that we are probably twins, or something)

As with all music posts, this has CLICKABLE YOUTUBE LINKS-- and backwards order-- and I'm not going to describe the songs or even why I like them-- just listen to them, go on~ <3 Maybe you'll be able to tell why I like them, maybe not-- the most important thing is introduction to new music!

*note- yes I know I said I wasn't going to describe this, however Duran Duran is constantly trying to 're-invent' their songs. They've tried to do it with several songs, and while I have found that they haven't really touched on the sheer epicness of "Ordinary World", they have tried and succeeded with "The Chauffer"-- and so I can't really pick a favorite of those songs, when they all really tie into each other so beautifully.

Duran Duran was my first favorite band ever. I actually remember the moment I first heard something by them - it was Is There Something I Should Know?

I was kinda in love with Simon LeBon.

My second, which overlapped with DD, was Tears for Fears. I'm no longer into DD, but thanks to seeing them in concert a few years ago, I still love TFF!

hey so the dumbest thing that i ever did was get so stressed about an online statistics final that i didn't go to a duran duran concert with my mom.

i could have seen them in PERSON but my dumb ass got stressed about SCHOOL

I got one up on you. I bought tickets for myself and two other people to go see them in concert.. the seats were GOOD too.. then they flaked out and I ended up selling the tickets. Next time tho my husband is going and so I won't be alone. He knows that he is going and he is fine with it even though he doesn't know a DD song from a hole in the ground
