I just tried to sign up. I've never done anything like it, but it seems like fun.

Funnily enough I find fic (microfic at least) easier than icons! I am lousy at photoshop and adjacent skills. But I am looking forward to have motivation to do some small-scale fannish things. So much of what I've been working on late is massive, epic original stuff. It's good to take time for little fun things too.

I haven't written fic in a long long time, so I really am hyped up to do it-- or at least some sort of fanwork in general-- and I think that the challenge community with games and such will be a great way to sort of socialize myself, fandomwise

This seems fun...but I'd worry about not contributing enough!

I was worried about that too-- but then I was like "That's the whole point of a challenge community", to challenge yourself-- and it's a team environ so there's a little bit more of pressure, but also a sense of team spirit which I really think would motivate me

Team encouragement is lovely and challenges would go with encouraging me to hit my GYOW word count. I'll give this comm a bit more thought. :)
