So at around 9:30 last night, I got this insane urge to play Bravely Default. Now granted, I never get insane urges to play video games, and my backlog is usually astronomically high and I have come to the conclusion that I will absolutely NEVER get through it-- every. That requires a life, which I-- do not have. But I saw a picture on pinterest of Edea and I was like, 'man, I loved that character', and so I picked up the game again-- now my DS is charging and I'm going to play it when I get home.

But now with the news of Tales of Vesperia, the heat is on to finish Beseria. Usually when a new Tales game is announced, that is my cue to start pushing down the game to be ready for the next one. So that means one Saturday I am going to have to finish it (or better yet one of those random days I have off that Owen doesn't). I can do this, I believe in myself.

I also signed up for a really random Icon Challenge community, so here's hoping I don't flake out on that-- however I did pick my theme as being Square Enix, which gives me LOTS of options.

Bravely Default is ok, I'm hooked on Tomodachi Life. :) I also have no life outside video games. I am also addicted to hidden object games. -___- LOLOLOL

I quite liked Bravely Default, though my favourite game of the series is definitely Bravely Second. Bravely Default has a pretty clever conceit in the second half that in execution didn't quite work out as planned, and is executed much better in the sequel. That said, I quite liked it! Edea remains great in both.

I feel like I have to play through Bravely Default in order to understand anything for Bravely Second-- and of course I know I will grind right through until Project Octopath Travaler comes out, because I'm a flake and it's hard for me to finish anything -_-

You definitely do! Bravely Second is a sequel to Bravely Default, to the point where I'm not sure Second would make sense without the story in Default! That said, I'm pretty sure based on what I've seen of your preferences you would love Edea a lot, and she's a very important character in both games.

Yes, the sassier the better! I mean I've spoilered myself minorly for the game; but I do love the dynamic between her and Ringabel.

So far I am stuck at the Spell fencer sidequest, trying to figure out the best way to beat the crap out of Khint and the Time Mage king. ARGH!

Oh, Square-Enix is a good choice for an icon theme: so many different options to choose from! ♥

That is neat about your urge to play Bravely Default! Lol, I have been having a bit of an urge to play a couple games too recently. One is just a game I have been spending FAR too much of my free time on in general, but there are some really random ones I keep thinking "man, I should play that" about. The most bizarre one has got to be a sudden urge to restart a Fire Emblem Fates: Revelations playthrough because I kind of stopped halfway through my first attempt at it and haven't really had the desire to try it out again since (eh, probably because I had jumped into it right after finishing one of the other Fates games so I kind of felt like I was playing the same thing roughly or something XD)...but I keep randomly thinking "I should try it again just for the heck of it" this last week and I have no idea why. XD

And Beseria is actually right up there on my list of PS4 games I still need to play! Gah, I am so with you on that backlog being too big and never having enough time to whittle it down. XD YOU CAN DO IT~! :D

Probably Bravely Default was the exact reason why I decided to jump into all these icon challenge communities--

I think the only Fire Emblem games I've played as been the ones with Ike in it, he's probably one of my spirit animals-- I wish I could be as cool as Ike (lol doubtful)
