I've suffered from extreme anxiety my whole life (largely due to my OCD), and it isn't easy to cope with. Relaxation techniques can help quell it down, but...I always have a nervous ball of energy in the pit of my stomach and feel like my heart is racing a mile a minute. Trying to divert your attention and distract yourself can help, as can breathing techniques and even exercise. There's also medicine and therapy that can help calm things down too, and I had to start retaking anxiety medicine again myself due to an increase in overall anxiousness I was feeling as a result of this last year.
